Los Angeles Studio Tours

The dream manufacturer- Hollywood, real dream of real people but yet seems to be out of reach. Watch the dreams merchants create some of the masterpieces. The star struck can hope to catch a glimpse of their favorite celebrity in restaurants, film locations, events, nightclubs, and even the churches. The Warner Bros V.I.P Studio Tour - 4000 Warner Boulevard
This is the best studio tour one can dream of taking. With almost everything you see on the silver screen is what you view here. The general tours the entire studio in a small tram that resembles a golf cart. This cart makes a stop at the constructed sets so for you to have a closer and a clearer view of what you see on the screen. There are tour guards that are at your disposal to answer any queries. Tours are available only during weekdays from 9am to 3pm, which stretches to 4pm during summers. It is essential to make advance bookings. 

Universal Studios Hollywood Tram Tour - 100 Universal City Plaza
If you have come for the studio tours and you miss this one then your star-studded tour would be considered incomplete. There are huge chances of bumping into a living, working actor in the universal city, home of the universal studios. 
Setup in 1912, the studios began conducting the public tram tours only in 1964. Some of the main highlights include the sets of: Earthquake, a re-creation of a subway system that takes passengers through a simulated 8.3 earthquake complete with floods and gas leaks; King Kong, a 30ft monster that petrifies the passengers with its riotous roar. 
You also get to see “Bruce”, the famous shark in Jaws and an expedition inside an active volcano, of “Dantes peak” where optical illusions are employed to scare the visitors.
The tour guests also get the privilege of watching the excerpts from the films and television shows filmed on board, while taking the view of the authentic location.

The NBC Studio Tour - 3000 West Alameda Avenue
Ever wondered what happens at the TV station. Take a look at the working of the TV station at the NBC studios. This commercial TV network, is the only studio that permits behind-the scenes onlookers. NBC's admission charge seems like a bargain compared to others. Kids below 5 have the pleasure to take the tour without the entry fee where as the adults only enter by paying $7 whereas children (5-12) pay $3.75.
Tours depart at regular intervals from 9 AM to 3 PM on weekdays (Mon-Fri). Closed on Saturday & Sunday. They open on weekends as well as extend their timings only during peak summers and holiday season. Please call ahead to confirm. 

The KCET Studio Tour - 4401, Sunset Blvd.
Initially the home of Monogram Pictures and Allied Artists, are at present into the broadcasting facilities for Los Angeles’ as well as own PBS TV station, KCET (Channel 28). Their first ever production was way back in 1912. This tour proves to be a great place to visit for those who are keen in understanding the technical side of TV production. Walk in free for a 90-minute guided tour on Fridays only. 

Sony Pictures Studio Tour - 10202 W. Washington Boulevard
Those who have not been for a Hollywood studio tour then Sony's two-hour guided walking tour is a must. In order to take this tour put on your walking shoes and saunter around to witness the action on screen. This tour is worth your money even tough you are on foot.
Entry fee is $20 per person Pay for the tickets at the Sony Plaza building across Madison Street from the main gate. Advance bookings can be made on phone (323) 520-TOUR. Timings-Monday through Friday at 9 AM- 3 PM. Children below 12 are not permitted.
